Why we started

Fair Price Funerals owner Mark Roebuck, 47, was so shocked at the prices quoted for his mum Christine’s funeral he decided to start his own low cost funeral service. Click more to see the article below in the Manchester Evening News.

Rising costs of funerals

The basic cost of a funeral has increased for the 12th year running, according to an annual survey which reveals that the key expenses associated with dying have soared by 80% since 2004.
A steep rise in local authority burial and cremation fees has pushed the average cost of a basic funeral up to £3,956.
